Pioneers Jumped as they Jumped

Clark is such a great Dad for Finn, he's always trying to help him further develop his talents, or secretly trying to help Finn develop Basketball talents. Either way, he's helping him and he got Finn a sweet doorway jumper for Pioneer day! July 24. That's right, to work his calves and help him with his jumping. Perfect for pioneering Finns way into Basketball because we know he will most likely skip walking and go straight to running and jumping everywhere. As you have already seen, Finn loves to run, wiggle and well if you've ever held him for 2 seconds or more you know he likes to jump. Is there a special "rule" or "stereotype" about kids who skip walking and go straight to jumping? Hm... I think jumping is the first thing that Superman learned to do before he learned how to fly. (If you watch Smallville you'll know what we mean.) V e e e r y  i n t e r e s t i n g! This gift was perfect for him. Thank. You. Dad.

Well, needless to say the second he got into his new jumper he knew exactly what to do. Of course he did, it's Finn! Bend at the knees and push up. Nope, we didn't even have to tell him or show him what to do. He just did.

Finn jumping in his new jumper.

(The pics/video above were taken a few days after we got the jumper because we hadn't decided on what kind of camera to get yet, but it's not like he could ever get bored of jumping.)

Here's pics from a different day.

BTW this toy was very inexpensive and very worth it, for as much as he's used it in the past 4 days already.

I'm thankful to my Heavenly Father for:

  • Cute little feet.

  • Pioneers for their example and determination.

  • Wide doorways with frames.

  • Wally World pretty much right across the street.

  • Milk Chocolate Chips, Almonds and Coconut. (yummy combo!)

  1. The jumper saves me every time. I love it! It's so fun to watch them giggling and jumping as hard as they can without having to worry about them getting hurt. I'm thankful for your thankful lists because it triggers my gratitude over so many things that I take for granted every day. And ... I'm grateful for Almonds and marshmallows ... I love that combo! You've got to try it sometime.

  2. Pinky, Thanks for your comment. Yes, that bouncer is definitely a must have for moms. Oh and I do love marshmallows! Funny I never thought I'd say I love almonds, because I used to hate ALL nuts. But I do love almonds now. Must be Clark's love for all nuts must be rubbing off on me. :)
    Love you!
